First of all I apologize for the big wound mark in the pie. I ended up using a knife instead of a tooth pick to check on the readiness of the pie. That’s my bad.

It was one of those really hot weekends where there was not much to do and my 4 year old wanted to eat something in the afternoon. I had some strawberries that were in the fridge and a half of a papaya. The thought of making a strawberry papaya was a natural progression to the afternoon.

The taste of the pie was delicious. You could taste strawberriness (if that’s a word) in the pie. Because I added just a few small slices of the papaya the taste was overwhelmingly that of strawberry. The role of papaya ended being that of a health one.

1 cup of strawberries washed and the green stems removed
1/4 cup of Papaya
1 teaspoon of corn starch
3 medium eggs
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
Graham Cracker Pie Crust (pre made – available in any grocery store)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
Mix the above ingredients together in a blender (with the exception of the Graham Cracker Pie crust)
Add the blended mixture to the pie curst
Cook in oven for 25 – 30 minutes or until when you put a toothpick through the mixture does not stick to the tooth pick.
Take out of oven and let it sit till it has cooled down.
